My name is Ziyue “Alan” Xiang (项子越), I am currently a PhD candidate at Purdue ECE. I am a research assistant at Prof. Edward J. Delp’s VIPER lab. My research interests are computer vision, machine learning, and media forensics.

I acquired Masters in Computer Science degree at Syracuse University. I worked at Prof. Daniel E. Acuna’s SOC+CD lab. My job was to investigate image manipulation in scientific publications.

My last name can be hard for English speakers to pronounce. Its pronunciation actually resembles that of English name “Shawn”. Hence, the domain name is “alanshawn”.
